Privacy Policy
Effective October 2026
Rivergate Foundation respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
Information you give us: your name, email, mailing address, payment information, and anything you include in an application or message.
Information collected automatically: basic usage and device data to keep the site working and secure.
How we use it
To process gifts and send receipts, to review and administer applications, to send updates and communications you have asked for, to meet legal and tax-reporting obligations, and to improve the site.
Payments
Payment details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card or bank numbers on our own servers.
Service providers
We share information only with providers who help us operate, such as our payment processor, our accounting and donor systems, and our email provider. They may use it only to perform services for us.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use our public pages, such as which pages are visited, how visitors arrived, and whether they started an application, made a gift, or signed up for updates. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We use what we learn to improve the site and to measure our Google Ad Grants advertising.
We do not send your name, email, or anything you write in an application to Google. When a gift is completed, only its amount is sent, not who gave it or which campaign it supports. Account, application, agreement, and other private pages are not reported, and we have turned off Google's advertising personalization features for this data. To opt out, you can use your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out browser add-on.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message, or by contacting us. Gift receipts and required notices may still be sent.
Data retention
We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by law (for example, tax records).
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting hello@rivergatefoundation.org.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new date above.
