A simple way for a group to give one gift.
A Gift Collection lets a church, team, or group of friends gather together to give a personal gift to a Christian missionary or church staff member they care about, in one place, without passing an envelope around.
Gift Collection gifts are not tax-deductible
Because a Gift Collection is a personal gift directed to an individual, it is not a charitable contribution. You will not receive a tax-deductible receipt for it, and a donor advised fund can't be used for it. Gifts to Rivergate Foundation's charitable funds are handled separately and are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
A 3% sustainability margin applies. It covers processing and administration for each Gift Collection.

Rivergate Foundation sets up the Gift Collection for a specific person and occasion.

You receive a link to share with the people you want to include, and they each give their part toward the same gift.

When the collection closes, the gift is delivered to the person it was gathered for.

Gift Collections are for Christian missionaries, pastors, and church staff in Rivergate's network, and their families.
Facing an urgent need that can be paid to a provider? A Jubilee campaign may be the better fit, and gifts to it are tax-deductible.
Which fund is right for meWhy Rivergate
There's a fee either way. Here, it stays in ministry.
Every fundraising platform takes a fee on the gifts it collects. Gift Collection gifts through Rivergate are not tax-deductible either, so the difference is where the margin goes.
Rivergate is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so every dollar from the margin goes back into our mission, not toward a company's profit. That is what partnering in purpose and impacting generations looks like.
You'll pay a fee on any platform
Choosing Rivergate doesn't add a cost you would avoid somewhere else. Our fee is 3%.
It covers the work behind your page
Rivergate sets up your Gift Collection, processes each gift, and sends the funds to the recipient.
It serves other ministry families
The margin supports Rivergate's other initiatives, so Christian missionaries, pastors, and church staff can be helped at every stage: their children's education, urgent needs, and retirement.
